Our Mission Statement

The mission of our school is to provide a learning environment that enhances personal growth and development. Our educational programs will allow for various student learning styles and will ensure equal educational opportunities for each student. These goals will be achieved by guiding students through educational opportunities to mastery of essential skills and by fostering and encouraging the use of critical thinking skills. Therefore, students will begin the process of becoming responsible, productive adult citizens.

1. While we recognize that we will need to help some students overcome "obstacles," we believe all students can learn and learn well.

2. Interdisciplinary teaming will enhance the conditions within our school that produce student success.

3. Success forms the basis for continued success.

4. In order for all students to be successful learners, we need to provide expanded opportunities for learning (Correctives and Enrichment.)

5. Students will meet our high expectations.

6. Teachers will “connect” with students to help motivate our learners.

7. Assessment will reflect what has been taught.

8. We will provide an atmosphere that will encourage a positive self-image and a sense of belonging within our school community.

9. Our staff will provide positive role models for basic values, such as courtesy, honesty, respect, responsibility, and compassion.
