Writing Expectations

· First and last name, hour, and date should be on the front page of all writing packets.

· Each essay should be turned in with prewriting, a rough draft, revising and editing, and a final draft.

· Prewriting means RAFTS and a completed web organizer with 20-25 specific ideas.

· All steps should be done in pencil. Colored pencils are OK for revising and editing.

· All final drafts should be hand written in pencil.

· All essays have a minimum length of five paragraphs. More writing is OK, but less will not be accepted.

· Each paragraph should contain at least five to seven sentences.

· In the event a final draft is to be typed, it must be turned in using Times New Roman size 12 font. No unnecessary bolding, italics, underlining, or all-caps font will be accepted.
